1 ml injection solution contains: Dexamethasone sodium phosphate 2 mg

Pharmacological properties:
Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid with pronounced nonspecific anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, anti-stress, anti-shock and immunosuppressive effects without mineralocorticoid effects.
Dexamethasone mobilizes glucose from tissues that exhibit pronounced glucogenic activity and stimulates protein catabolism.
Pharmacokinetics:
After administration, dexamethasone is rapidly distributed in tissues and reaches maximum concentration (7-20 min) depending on the type and dose.
The activity of dexamethasone is 30 times more intense than that of hydrocortisone.
Indications for use:
In horses, cattle, pigs, goats, dogs and cats:
- Stress conditions, toxic shock, hemorrhagic, traumatic, cardiovascular, septic conditions, myoglobinuria
- Inflammatory processes: myositis, muscular dystrophy, collagenases, rheumatic diseases, acute and chronic hepatitis, dermatitis, lymphangitis, laminitis
- Arthritis, polyarthritis, periarthritis, bursitis, tenosynovitis
- Allergic reactions: eczema, dermatitis, urticaria, conjunctivitis and allergic rhinitis, asthma, emphysema, edema, photosensitization, food and drug allergies
- Ketonemia in cows
- In case of bacterial infections, Glucocorticoid hormones are used in conjunction with chemotherapy or antibiotic therapy.
Directions for use and dosage:
Injection: subcutaneously, intramuscularly and intravenously
Horses, cattle: 5-15 ml per head. (0.02 - 0.06 mg dexamethasone / kg body weight).
Calves, poultry, goats, pigs: 1-2.5 ml per head. (0.02 - 0.05 mg dexamethasone / kg body weight).
Cats, dogs: 0.1-1 ml/head (0.02 - 0.2 mg dexamethasone / kg body weight)
Intra-articular injection: Horses, cattle, goats, pigs: 1-5 ml per head.
Small animals (dogs, cats): 0.1-2.5 ml of product/animal
If necessary, the treatment can be repeated within 24-48 hours.
Contraindications:
Do not use in animals with diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, cardiovascular dysfunction, serious kidney diseases. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.
Use during pregnancy and lactation:
Do not use during the last stages of pregnancy (may cause abortion). Dexamethasone may inhibit lactation.
Interaction with other medicinal products:
Due to the strong immunosuppressive effect of the product, vaccination is not recommended during the treatment period.
Avoid the simultaneous use of barbiturates and antihistamines.
Withdrawal period:
Meat 28 days; Milk: 7 days
