Anti-tetanus serum

Composition: blood serum of a horse immunized with tetanus toxoid, the serum contains specific immunoglobulin. The drug also contains chloroform not more than 0.2%.

Anti-tetanus serum is a clear yellowish-brown solution. It is allowed to have an easily soluble sediment.

Indications for use: emergency prevention and treatment of tetanus. Rapid prevention of tetanus is aimed at primary surgical treatment of the wound and acquisition of specific immunity against tetanus.

During castration, injuries, damage to the integrity of the skin and mucous membrane, animal bites. For emergency prevention of tetanus, the serum is injected subcutaneously or into the muscles once in a dose of 1 ml (3000 IU) for cattle, small cattle and pigs of all ages.
